Position Summary

The Associate Systems Analyst will work closely with users, developers, and other IT Staff  to support many areas of the Software Development Lifecycle including requirements gathering, business process documentation, system functional design, system technical design, quality assurance, support, and implementation.   The system analysts role requires knowledge in a variety of technologies including system design methodologies, technical writing, enterprise software products, web applications, desktop applications, and database systems.




  • Participates in Requirements Gathering sessions to formulate and define objectives using various research and fact-finding techniques, such as prototyping, questionnaires, surveys, interviews, sampling, observation, working sessions, and walkthroughs.
  • Prepares functional, system and technical program specifications and requirements using a structured approach.
  • Apply business and technology expertise to improve business processes and support critical system strategies.
  • Develops and maintains system and business process documentation.
  • Ensures that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, unambiguous and verifiable and that they conform to defined standards.Works with software developers to help them understand requirements and to ensure the completeness and accuracy of related documents and specifications.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance cycles and executes testing to ensure applications satisfy end user requirements using a standard process and testing methodology.
  • Provides end-user documentation and/or training for new or changed system functionality either written, in person, or through web based training.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • A hands on or educational experience working various aspects of the Software Development LifeCycle 2. Experience with technical system design and standard software technical documentation
  • Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and design solutions.
  • Understanding of Technical and Functional System Designs.
  • Understanding of QA, QA tools, test planning, bulding test cases, and test plan execution.
  • Understanding of developing technical documentation.
  • Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems, SQL, and Business intelligence tool/Reporting tools.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in listening and questioning
