Position Summary

Performs Quality Control operations according to IMS approved Quality Management System procedures. This position is on our 3rd shift. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 6:00pm-6:30am

Duties

  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes data as determined by Supervisor/Management.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Quality Control, Purchasing/Materials and manufacturing operations.
  • Serves at the support liaison between Quality Control and component suppliers regarding technical inspection concerns.
  • Performs advanced administrative and QC Tech I duties as assigned.
  • Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives and supports company ISO requirements. 
  • Conducts department level in-process inspections.
  •  Contributes to NCR process for engineering.
  • Pulls and reads blueprints and drawings to determine specifications, method and sequence of operation to be followed in inspection of required parts.  
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring instruments.  
  • Keeps area organized and clean. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience as a QC Technician.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints,
  • Utilizes experience with metrology equipment such as calipers and micrometers to conduct precise measurements often within very tight tolerances.
  • Must have ability to solve complex shop math. 
  • Must have organizational skills. 
  • Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Good attention to detail. 
  • Willingness to listen and learn. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends, flexible shifts as required, and assist in other areas of machine shop as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Machining Experience.   
  • 1-3 years of CMM Quality experience.
  • Experience in working with lathes, mills and/or saw machines a plus. 
  • Programming skills a plus but not required.
