Position Summary

Join STERIS as a Senior IT Project Manager working within the Healthcare Global Services business systems. You will be a change agent for the organization and drive the business strategy by driving the business and technology development of new and enhanced processes.

As Sr. Project Manager you will understand and document complex business processes enabling the design and delivery of technology solutions and change management of business processes.

You will be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of multiple business software solution projects that both support and enhance business capabilities ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

*This is a remote position. Qualified candidates must currently live in the Continental U.S. with preference for Eastern and Central time zones. There will be approximately 20% travel.

What You'll Do as a Sr. IT Project Manager

  • Lead collaboration between stakeholders across multiple business units to define, scope, plan, and schedule portfolio level project plans to enhance business processes involving multiple complex systems.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation and adoption of business process changes resulting from system enhancements ensuring stakeholders, managers, and end users across business units are aligned with solution delivery teams on scope and timeline and are prepared to implement process changes accordingly.
  • Influence stakeholders and Sr. managers to develop enterprise wide, long-term visions for business processes providing direction for teams to deliver solutions within an agile/iterative framework.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain current and future state business process maps that bring clarity to both business leaders and delivery teams in regard to the processes being altered by a project. 
  • Be a change agent for the organization and drive the business strategy by driving the business and technology development of new and enhanced processes.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation and adoption of business process changes resulting from system enhancements ensuring stakeholders, managers, and end users across business units are aligned with solution delivery teams on scope and timeline and are prepared to implement process changes accordingly.
  • Facilitate and/or support release planning and steering committee meetings to ensure project timelines and resources are aligned across the organization. 
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and solution recommendations to Sr. managers, while keeping stakeholders and agile delivery teams aligned ensuring clarity and visibility during all phases of the project including the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to grow in their project management understanding and capabilities while helping them navigate situations encountered in varying types of projects.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 4 years project management experience developing and implementing effective project management plans, managing large and complex projects.
  • 4+ years experience with full life cycle software product delivery process including requirements gathering, business process mapping, implementation, training, etc.  
  • 4+ years experience facilitating group collaboration that drives team engagement.
  • 4+ years leading cross-functional groups to produce business process map and drive gap analysis to implement future state.
  • 4+ years experience assessing and documenting business processes while also influencing significant and creative process change.
  • Formal experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working with global ERP systems.


Preferred:

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience leading IT software development projects within a multi-billion dollar, global corporation.
  • Salesforce and/or Oracle experience.
  • Currently residing in the Eastern or Central time zone.

 

Other: 

  • Effective communication skills using the ability to tell and adapt the story to get buy-in from entry level to executive employees.

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,737.50 - $117,425.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
