Position Summary

Leads the implementation of lean principles throughout the organization. Works with management, customers, suppliers, and others to identify and facilitate key projects that will improve quality, reduce costs, improve cycle time, and provide the optimum benefits to customers and the business through waste reduction. Trains production teams in lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Takt Time Analysis, and Kaizen. Manages project activities including communication, project timeline, meeting facilitation, data gathering, data processing utilizing lean tools, and solution implementation and follow-up.


  • Hands on execution of Lean transformation projects
  • Drive site or function adoption of Lean and other performance improvement methodologies.
  • Delivers Problem Solving and Lean Manufacturing training.
  • Assess manufacturing work flows and management systems
  • Facilitate Kaizen events
  • Plans, re-designs and organizes manufacturing facilities and production cells.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
  • Technical expert in Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, A3 thinking
  • Perform cost/benefit analyses

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (Mfg EE, Eng discipline, Process, ME)
  • Requires 5-7 years working in CI capacity
  • Demonstrated application with lean principles
  • Progressive application of lean tools
  • Lean certification from a recognized independent technical body.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
