Position Summary
Responsible for the daily operational aspects of the Business Intelligence Systems, including monitoring support requests, designing procedures, developing and maintaining system components. Partners with Business to develop BI support framework and leadership on project work completion.
What You'll do as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer
Production Support (40%)
- Supports daily operations of automated BI distribution and is accountable for timely execution and delivery of existing report packages.
- Responsible for the daily monitoring, accuracy and consistency of system processes including data warehouse ETL procedures.
- Provides guidance to support on BI Help Desk requests, confirming priority, proper resource alignment and assists with load balancing.
- Invests in standardization, documentation and knowledge transfer to developers.
- Assists BI Manager with team policies and procedures
- Follows SOX Policies and Procedures in production system deployment of approved code changes
- Manages financial interface processes using PL/SQL and Oracle Concurrent Programs to process financial month-end close out.
- Proactively evaluates ecosystem, identifying ways to reduce technical debt, optimize database performance, and improve quality of the production solutions.
- Follows and supports overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment.
Development (50%)
- Responsible for creating technical standards across the entire BI ecosystem.
- Responsible for creating design patterns, development standards of ETL processes, data structures and analytical data models within the data warehouses.
- Manages development of design patterns to standard and reviews programming routines for the maintenance and movement of data within the ERP system.
- Collaborates with BI Manager on the Developers’ adherence to technical standards.
- Performs final technical code review for production deployments
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents PL/SQL applications to satisfy transactional data needs.
- Works with Business Intelligence Analyst, users and IT management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes to develop, support, and modify existing systems.
- Serves as technical Subject Matter Expert, consults with business unit and BI/IT Management and staff.
- Gauges technical complexity and assists with overall project planning.
R&D (10%)
- Evaluates new technologies for enhancing said BI ecosystem and collaborates with other department heads within IT as needed.
- Attends technical and professional training to improve knowledge and skills so that individual is growing with the IT systems and processes.
The Experience, Abilities and Skills Needed
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years of relevant IT experience
- Database and transactional knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (example: Oracle Applications e-Business Suite)
- Technical Competency in Database, Data warehouse, and ETL processes
- Experience in developing reports, dashboards, and information distribution techniques
- Requires thorough knowledge of existing BI data models, deliverables, and processes
- Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
- Technically Proficient with the following: Oracle, Salesforce, PL/SQL, & SSIS, SSAs, Excel, SSRS

Salary range for this opportunity is $90,000-110,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
