Position Summary
This role is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process in STERIS IMS projects. Works closely with other Engineering teams, Documentation team and Project Managers. Performs in accordance with company health, safety and quality policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned depending on the needs of the business.
What You'll Do as a Process Engineer
- Evaluates, creates and improves on processes in Customer orders and internal manufacturing systems – 50%
- Improves process capability and production volume while maintains and improves quality standards – 30%
- Ensures projects are completed on time and the financial budgets are followed in terms of process design and components – 10%
- Maintains reliable and safe process systems while also improves production rates, efficiencies, costs and changeovers – 5%
- Collects, records and transcribes data – 5%
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in the field of Process Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines with a focus on internal manufacturing systems or processes
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- Knowledge of process engineering software systems
- Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations
- Experience with Solidworks
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
Other:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work cross-functionally
- High attention to detail

Pay range for this opportunity is $78,200.00 - $101,200.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
