Position Summary
Oversees the management, production, and quality of STERIS Offsite Reprocessing teams within multiple onsite and offsite operations, including modular Sterile Processing departments and offsite reprocessing centers, across multiple states. . Develops strong Customer relationships and ensures Customer expectations are met by pro-actively managing performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Ensures on-site support, training, and effective communications with STERIS teams to retain and expand Customer engagements. Ensures operational processes are followed by all members of the team in conjunction with the standards set forth by the Department of Health, JC, DNV, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN.
Duties
- Ability to motivate and manage a leadership team to provide excellent service to multiple healthcare on-site sterile processing departments, ORC’s and Modular SPD/ORC and ensure delivery of the contracted deliverable and company strategy/ initiatives.
- Collaborates with the STERIS Business Development partner to ensure Customer and STERIS expectations are defined, achievable and properly communicated to the Customer. Ability to reset and maintain expectations to achieve contracted deliverables.
- Ensures delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) through routine Customer pulse checks and business reviews, and resolves Customer issues in a timely and efficient manner by discovering the root causes of problems and processes and developing a plan with measurable outcomes to track progress.
- Motivational leader that possesses the ability to build and maintain Employee Engagement and instill a culture of safety and retention.
- Effectively manages their P&L to budget, identifies cost savings opportunities and executes improvement initiatives.
- Drives team to identify opportunities for STERIS to execute and improve services by maintaining strong Customer relations and ensures the satisfaction of Customer deliverables.
- Manages the resource requirements to meet budget and aligns staff to meet the contract deliverables and Customer needs.
- Demonstrates understanding of the Instrument Processing Division’s processes and ensures the proper management, training and implementation in multiple sites while driving continuous improvement.
- Drives company initiatives to the field around the 4 key objectives and ensures execution and documentation.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of leadership experience in sterile processing, manufacturing, operations, or field service organizations or High School Diploma and 16+ years of leadership experience in sterile processing, manufacturing, operations, or field service organizations.
- Minimum of 6 years working with Customer in the healthcare sector and/ or tertiary care hospitals
- Minimum of 6 years leadership experience including 3+ years in a senior management position of leadership.
- Must have direct management experience with large-scale initiatives involving significant revenue and implications, a large staff, and involving diverse stakeholder groups and complex organization matrix.
- Extensive knowledge of people and process management to include experience managing a senior leadership team across multiple locations
- A track record of positive results and an ability to show how his/ her actions have contributed to the growth and bottom-line profitability of an organization while enhancing or driving cultural change.
Preferred Experience
- Strong profit & loss experience with emphasis on growth, review, and income generation as well as strategic and market positioning.
- Sound business acumen in making strategic decisions based on financial statements and related analysis.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and employee selection and development.
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
