Position Summary

The Solution Architect is responsible for providing support to the sales organization by applying technical expertise across multiple disciplines to understand clients’ specific opportunities and consult on the best approach to achieve strategic goals. The Solutions Architect possesses the art of storytelling to connect with their prospects, demonstrate value, and overcome objections. When working with strategic clients; possesses the know-how to solve major challenges; provides thought leadership for technical innovation; and can drive new revenue for our company. The Solutions Architect thrives on assisting salespeople and the Customers quickly and successfully solve problems, and who’s passionate about playing a pivotal part in helping drive our business forward. 

Duties

  • Analyzes Customer’s current state and requirements with a deep understanding of the business needs and goals. This involves assessing business processes, workflows and identifying areas where solutions can be used to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leads the Customer’s Solution Analysis that supports the sales team from the beginning of a sales cycle to understand a client’s overall direction and apply expertise to develop the most optimal solution for the client’s organization.
  • Aids in enterprise sales and partnerships in creating a cohesive solution across multiple business units.
  • Manages projects, acting as technical advisor to clients while maintaining industry knowledge: The solution architect must stay up to date with the latest industry trends to ensure that the solutions they design are current and relevant.
  • Leads the evaluation between different services and products to determine the best fit for the solution. This involves conducting research, assessing the capabilities and limitations, and comparing their risks and benefits.
  • Supports the development of cross-functional business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches to grow IP business and meet financial revenue targets.
  • Leads the development of emerging solutions to the Solutions Architecture team. Continuously researches emerging technologies and industry trends with the purpose of changes to the existing architecture. Ensures value to the Customer by collaborating with operations team to create and manage project timelines, ensuring that the solution is deliver value to the Customer.
  • Develops detailed report, roadmap and executive summary that describes the voice of the Customer, the root causes, solution, risks, specifications, business cases and data models.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the solution is of high quality, including performance, reliability, and scalability. The solution is compliant with regulatory and legal requirements, such as industry-specific regulations. This involves identifying risks and issues that could impact the project timeline and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Responsible for outlining services for Customer proposals in collaboration with the Directors of Business Development, Clinical/Regional Directors, Director of Process Improvement, Professional Services and the Sales Operations team to include but not limited to, the number of resources, timelines, success factors and requirements. 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience in surgical services, sterile processing, leadership, and/or related industry, or High School Diploma and 18+ years of experience in surgical services, sterile processing/ leadership, and/or related industry.
  • Ability to travel extensively to meet the Customers real-time needs.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead improvement projects.
  • Maintains expertise in sterile processing industry, ensures Customer satisfaction, manages budget responsibilities, and continuously improves.
  • Capability to work at an enterprise level to collaborate on solution offerings, products and provide support as needed to STERIS initiatives.
  • Actively participates as a member of Instrument Processing leadership team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to organize and present complex material in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Strong story telling ability. Must be able to captivate internal and external audience.
  • Experience in a client-facing role with decision-making authority, root cause analysis, process improvement, and operations management.  
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and be available to operate a vehicle as needed to meet travel requirements.

Pay range for this opportunity is $122,187.50 - $158,125.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
