CNC Machinist II

Position Summary
Completes set up, and Operates both manual and CNC equipment for the efficient production of quality components. Responsible for the production of high-tolerance precision parts.
This is a day shift position in a climate controlled facility. Tuesday-Friday 10 hour shifts.
What You'll Do As a CNC Machinist II
- Interpret technical prints.
- Must have knowledge of CNC machine “G-Code” and trouleshotting skills to identify and communicate program improvements to programmers.
- Setup, operate and adjust machining equipment for production efficiency without supervision.
- Monitors quality of parts produced to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures.
- Must use personal protective equipment if required.
- Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives, and supports company ISO requirements.
- Aware of and actively participates in company’s Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Ensures measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.
- Maintains in-process product identification.Follows procedure for handling nonconforming parts
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years CNC machining experience in lieu of a technical/vocational degree.
Minimum two (2) to four (4) years CNC machining experience with a vocational degree in Machine/Tool Technology or related field
• Demonstrated CNC set up experience
CAM software reading experience
Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
Experience running multiple types of machines
Preferred:
• Technical/Vocational degree in a related field
• Data entry system experience
