Position Summary

The Account Manager III (AM III) has responsibilities to manage sales and Customer activities in an assigned territory.  Expected to achieve a maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within assigned territory by managing existing accounts and prospecting new revenue opportunities.

Duties
  1. The Account Manager III (AM III) has responsibilities to manage sales and Customer activities, in an assigned territory, by contacting them via the telephone, emailing campaigns and Webinar presentations The Account Manger II will be expected to deliver dollar sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  2. Achieve new product distribution goals in assigned territory.
  3. The Account Manager will be expected to display product knowledge in each of our product groups including Orthopedics, Endoscopy, GEPCO, Instruments, and Repairs, Certified Pre-owned, and conduct a mimium of 12 Educational events in their territory on a quarterly basis.
  4. Oversees Demo Units and loaner inventory in their territory.
  5. Facilitates sales and customer activities, in assigned territory, with live meetings, telephone, email campaigns and Webinar presentations.  (mimium 60% of time making live customer calls)
  6. The Account Manager will perform live sales calls in all referral centers in their territory.
  7. Be able to travel up to 60% of the time.

  1. Achieve sales goals within an assigned territory  by not only managing existing accounts, but also by strategically prospecting new revenue opportunities. Quote and close new business.
  2. Manage assigned Corporate accounts or Group Purchasing Organizations.
  3. Attend National and Regional Trade shows as required.
  4. Work seamlessly with other departments in STERIS by providing feedback to marketing and interacing with inside sales in a collaborative fashion.
  5. Updates the CRM system as required to document Customer information, sales activities, purchase orders, and other information required by the Company.
  6. Resolves Customer service issues such as tracking down delayed repairs, billing issues, etc.
Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
  1. High school degree required with 5 years professional work experience; preferably in Customer Service or Sales.
  2. Bachelor degree stongly preferred
  3. Able to travel as needed – up to 60% overnight travel.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM)
  5. Incumbent must live within his/her territory.  Geographic mobility preferred.
  6. Position requires working vehicle compliant with Company requirements which includes certain levels of insurance and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  7. Required to work non standard hours that can vary to meet Customer needs (weekends, evening)
  8. Required to travel up to 60% of time (including overnight travel).
