Position Summary

The primary role of the SyneryTrak data administrator is to perform and monitor all changes made to the data held within the SynergyTrak system. The individuals need to be familiar with using IT systems and how best to manage and maintain the updating of IT systems. The role can be performed either within an office base or on site within one of Northwell Health Hospitals as and when required. The role will also provide support to the Operational and Administration team both in Northwell and STERIS in managing data integrity to the SynergyTrak System.

Duties

  • Implement the Change Control Process as determined by the Operational Lead
  • Ensure all customers follow process, support with problem solving and providing feedback when necessary to the Senior Team
  • Process all changes received associated with the CCN’s within the agreed timeline
  • Communicate with all Clinical Customers, SIS team, Northwell corporate team at all times to ensure the smooth running of the process ensures.
  • Assist with the data preparation of Operational / Clinical sites before and during Go Live of SynergyTrak implementations, both on and off site
  • Review & validation of the bulk upload data sheet prior to sending to IT for electronic upoload.
  • Assist with all SynergyTrak amendments required during and after go live of any / all Operational sites
  • Participate in sharing innovative ideas relating to the management of improving the way of working relating to all aspects of SynergyTrak 
  • Ordering and maintenance of consumables required to complete barcoding of Instruments in preparation for SynergyTrak installs at the Operational sites
  • Co-ordinate any supporting requirements for installation with the Synergy IT team as and when required
  • Undertake any other responsibility or task required.
  • Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures of the Department of Health, JCAHO, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN standards, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Instructions for Use (IFUs).

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

Experience requirements

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Previous experience working with different IT systems required including knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel and the ability to manipulate data
  3. Understanding of internet concepts such as email vs web, and http vs https
  4. Able to work independently as well as within a team when required
  5. Good organizational skills
  6. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  7. Good attention to detail
  8. Willingness to listen and learn
  9. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  10. Willing to work flexible as required
  11. Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, peers and management
  12. Mechanical aptitude  

Skills/Competencies

  1. Understanding of and willingness to adhere to basic company expectations (Customer focus, teamwork, integrity, accountability and professionalism)
  2. Previous Medical Devices knowledge or Central Processing experience desirable
  3. Preferred previous knowledge using SynergyTrak desirable
