Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative’s (CSR) primary role is to listen and deliver a superior Customer experience to customers.  The CSR receives and processes Customer purchases, manages Customer phone inquiries, processes credits/returns, and handles Customer complaints.  The CSR is responsible for ensuring departmental and individual goals are met and Customers are satisfied.   #LI-KW1

Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently record Customer purchase order data into Oracle; orders are received via phone, fax, e-mail and EDI.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and CDM department for New Account Set up.
  • Confirm order selling price is in compliance with contract/pricing and work pricing holds regularly.
  • Interface with freight carriers for shipping routing, tracking and proof of deliveries.
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of STERIS products and their intended uses by regularly attending product training.
  • Responsible for the researching and handling of customer credits and returns.
  • Takes ownership of problems by, identifying customer’s needs, clarifying information, researching and providing an alternative or solution.  
  • Handle Customer complaints and requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Research and document Customer complaints into quality system ensuring that all relevant facts and data are captured; escalate issue based on severity of complaint.
  • Educate Customer on product inquiries and further reinforce the information with product literature utilizing STERIS Intranet and website, Product Managers or internal reference materials.
  • Process service calls.
  • Actively support the Sales team and other internal Customer goals.
  • Support International order entry process as needed.

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent direct customer or sales interaction/experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
