Position Summary

Calibration Technicians are responsible for conducting in-house calibrations for STERIS instrumentation and customer instrumentation that the organization is handling within its calibration lab. In this position, you will be responsible for performing multiple calibration efforts, calibration report generation, along with maintaining all assigned test equipment and assuring equipment is in calibration per the regulatory standards needed across our instrument portfolio.

Duties

  • Become proficient in calibrating medical equipment and instruments
  • Complete checklists, generate raw data, perform analysis of the data, and produce final calibration reports
  • Maintain product documentation; implement and manage appropriate corrective action as needed
  • Follow established processes and SOPs, to help maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards
  • Assist (as needed) in receiving, identifying, labeling (if appropriate), and storing product as received to the calibration department
  • Maintain and advance your technical skills, knowledge and abilities by completing assigned trainings relative to this role
  • Assist in maintaining the electronic test equipment calibration program; help improve processes where applicable

What you need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 6+ years in a technical position, or an Associate Degree and 2+ years in a technical position required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read/interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation manuals or cut sheets.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, and ability to learn our proprietary software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
