Position Summary
Calibration Technician is responsible for conducting in-house (95%) & external calibrations (5%) for CECS instrumentation and Customer instrumentation. Conduct all work according to CECS SOPs, GMPs and in a safe and professional manner. Utilizes equipment and maintains laboratory in orderly fashion according to established safety standards. Responsible for the safe movement of Customer product. Review of product and process documents and instructions, i.e., Customer provided special instructions and service orders to ensure accurate processing.
Duties
- Become proficient in the calibration of the following equipment: Anemometers, Manometers, Differential Pressure Gauges, Wind tunnel, Template dataloggers, IRTD, Multi Meters, Particle Counters, Conductivity/Resistivity Displays, Conductivity Meter, Air Samplers, Temperature/Relative Humidity equipment/transmitters, General-Purpose Transducers/Transmitters, Pressure, vacuum and compound gauges, and associated pressure manifold assembly, vacuum pumps, Portable Validators, Temperature Reference Baths, Tachometer and RPM displays, Timers and stopwatches, Flow and level sensors, Photometers, Sound meters, Light meters, (est. 30%)
- Completion of applicable paperwork trail, including checklists, generation of raw data and final reports. Responsible for calibration report generation, maintaining all assigned test equipment and assuring equipment is in calibration. (est. 10%)
- Contributes to accuracy of processing and product accountability by maintaining product documentation; implements appropriate corrective action as needed. (est. 10%)
- Contributes to a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP and other directives; supporting the directives and decisions of higher-level management and accomplishing other duties as assigned. (est. 10%)

- May assist in receiving, identifying, labeling if appropriate, and storing product as received to the calibration department. (est. 5%)

Education Degree
Required Experience
- Customer interface by phone and email.
- Reading/ interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation manuals or cut sheets.
- Computer for word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, and proprietary programs.
- Maintain electronic test equipment calibration program.
