Oversees the management and facilitates production and quality within Customer IPS engagements.   Ensures Customer expectations are met by pro-actively managing activities and complying with contractual obligations. Provides on-site support, training, and communication to ORC. Ensures proper operational processes are followed by all members of the team in conjunction with the standards set forth by the Department of Health, TJC, DNV, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN. Duties

LEADERSHIP

  • Ability to motivate and manage a leadership team to provide excellent day-to-day service to support operations and ensure delivery of contracted deliverables and company initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the STERIS Business Development partner to ensure Customer and STERIS expectations are defined, achievable and properly communicated to the Customer.
  • Ability to reset and maintain expectations through the engagement to achieve   contracted deliverables
  • Determines the appropriate resource requirements to properly align staff to meet contract deliverables and ensures leadership team possesses this same ability
  • Ability to manage staff at multiple locations within a small geographic area.
  • Motivational leader that possesses the ability to build and maintain Employee Engagement and instill a culture of safety and retention

CUSTOMERS

  • Ensure delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Works in collaboration with the onsite facility resources to manage and develop the Customer relationships
  • Resolve Customer issues in a timely and efficient manner by discovering the root causes of problems and processes and develops a plan with measurable outcomes to track progress
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the contract(s) and maintains strong relationships to ensure a high-quality product is provided in relation to contractual scope
  • In conjunction with Business Development Team and on-site resources, facilitates Business Reviews with the Customer, Senior Management and Business Development to review KPI’s and contractual expectations

OPERATIONS/PROCESSES

  • Demonstrates understanding of the Instrument Processing Division’s processes and the ability to manage, train and implement in engagements while focusing on continuous improvement
  • Develops and enforces the implementation of policies, new processes, procedures, product conversions, new services, and programs in conjunction with the contract and STERIS to improve Customer service
  • Possesses the ability to effectively manage a P&L to ensure Customer deliverables are met while staying within budget
  • Uses Non-conformance documentation to identify areas of deficiencies and creates Corrective Action Plans to manage improvement
  • Ability to effectively translate and implement business strategy

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership experience in SPD or related field, or High School Diploma and 10+ years of leadership experience in SPD or related field.
  2. Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (4+ Years)
  3. Must be proficient in project management and strategic thinking (5+ Years)
  4. Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
  5. Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or HSPA required. If not certified at point of hire, it must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  6. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Excellent multi-tasking, priority setting capabilities.
  8. Must possess solid managerial, analytical, organizational skills and financial acumen. 
  9. Must have solid understanding and leadership experience in Lean Manufacturing.

 

 

Preferred Experience

  1. Medical instrument knowledge (1+ Years)
  2. Knowledge of Sterile Processing, Operating Room and Material Management functions (1+ Years)

 

Skills

  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  2. Possess an understanding of accountability tools - Coaching documents, MBOs, Performance Reviews
  3. Ability to stay calm and maintain a high level of professionalism under high pressure situations
  4. Ability to conduct root cause analysis
  5. Ability to build project plans

Pay range for this opportunity is $91,250 - $127,575. This position is eligible for bonus.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.

Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.  There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed.
