  • This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following states: Louisiana

Why is the Repair Technician role crucial to our business and our Customers?

  • With surgical instruments that are sharpened and working properly, surgeons can focus on the patient.
  • Some of our Customers choose to utilize our mobile repair service, where we perform sharpening and repairing of their surgical instruments on site at the hospital, which means convenience for our Customers.
  • Some of our Customers choose to utilize our in house repair lab service, where we are set up full time inside their hospital, where they have access to our repair team whenever they need, which means efficiency for our Customers.

Some of our Customers choose to send their surgical instruments into one of our five national repair centers, where we have teams ranging from 25-40 that are ready to repair their instruments and return them back to the Customer within days.

Duties

  • Performs intermediate to advanced level repairs and maintenance of surgical instruments and maintenance including ultra sonic function, metallurgy, buff & polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations & brazing.
  • Performs standardized examination and testing procedures including examining and testing, adjusting and calibration to ensure functioning and conformance within specific standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Abides by required safety procedures and requirements.
  • Demonstrates effective judgement and problem solving related to technical work, Customer equipment and company assets.

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of maintenance, assembly, or related aptitude/experience or minimum of 1 year as a Repair Technician level I.
  • Intermediate level surgical instrument repairing and maintenance (ultra sonic function, metallurgy, buff and polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations and brazing), advance dremel operation, re-cup and re-jaw.
