This role primarily provides a desk side computer support to colleagues on sites and within our regional offices. Configuring and deploying desktop hardware, software and other essential IT equipment are some of the daily tasks of this position. Reporting into the Service Desk Manager this is a this is both a product and technical support role with high level of end user interaction.

Duties
As our Desktop Technician your duties include the following activities of End User Administration such as:
Creating and supporting network accounts, computer accounts, email accounts, application accounts, and group memberships in accordance with IT policies and procedures relating to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley).
Configuring and deploying desktop hardware and software.
Configuring and deploying mobile devices.
As you provide End User Support to your colleagues this can be provided either remotely or in person desk side and will include the training of users on desktop applications where necessary.
This is a diverse role which is very much a support to all colleagues allowing you to travel to sites locally.
Required Experience
-
- System support for client hardware platforms, Dell, HP, Lenovo. Dell preferred.
- System and application support for Microsoft client platforms required.
- Familiarity with System administration of Active Directory is preferred.
- Experience in application/system technologies. Microsoft, Dell, McAfee, Citrix and Checkpoint preferred.
