STERIS are looking for a Compensation and Benefits Analyst to be based out of our Basingstoke office. You will be responsible for compensation and benefit related projects, partnering with the Senior Manager Compensation & Benefits and HR team members to deliver compensation related services to assigned business organizations. Responsible for pay benchmarking activities, including job matching, job evaluation, market pricings, participation in salary surveys and market analysis. Analyses and assists in developing salary structures for Europe

Duties

  1. Partners with Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits, US Compensation Team and/or HR Business Partners/HR Managers to deliver compensation services, ensuring adherence to STERIS policy and practices.
  2. Manage and assist with compensation-related projects including European survey submissions and compensation studies (e.g. salary structure development and implementation, acquisitions, re-organizations, job family hierarchies, merit, bonus, car allowance/company car programs).  
  3. Models costs and employee impact analysis and drives implementation of approved changes.
  4. Evaluates positions for grade placement based on the content of the job and various salary survey sources ensuring that all relevant factors have been addressed. Compare jobs internally for internal equity and make recommendations for grade level changes.
  5. Educates and informs the organization about STERIS compensation policies and practices and makes recommendations based on internal and external sources/best practice. 
  6. Compiles, analyses and interprets data to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness and makes recommendations.

Required Experience

  1. Work related experience in a similar role
  2. In depth knowledge of compensation theories and practical applications is required.
  3. World @ Work (Certified Compensation Professional) or working toward s certification is a plus 
  4. Advanced spreadsheet and database capabilities are required.
  5. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills are required.
  6. Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.
  7. Ability to manage ambiguity, inform and influence while working well with others in a collaborative team environment
