What You Will Do:

At STERIS, our Technician Assistants act as the face of our company by ensuring top-notch service for our customers. In this field-based, customer-facing role, you will travel to medical and manufacturing facilities to assist the certification technician with routine certifications and repairs of cleanrooms and devices that contain HEPA filters. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships with customers and colleagues, as well as completing necessary administrative tasks.

 

Other job responsibilities include:

  • Disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
  • Increasing business growth through identifying sales opportunities and recommending STERIS products and services to Customers. Communicate leads to management and sales staff. 
     
What You Need to be Successful:
  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (at times outside “normal business hours”) and travel as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with navigating a computer and exposure to Microsoft Office programs.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple, changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a lab, pharmaceutical production facility, animal research center, or other similar setting.
