Position Summary

This role effectively performs in a mobile repair lab that travels daily to inter/intrastate Customer sites. May include occasional over-night travel.

This is a remote-based customer facing position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following states: Ohio. 
 

Duties

• Performs intermediate to advanced level repairs and maintenance of surgical instruments and maintenance including ultra sonic function, metallurgy, buff & polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations & brazing. 
• Performs standardized examination and testing procedures including examining and testing, adjusting and calibration to ensure functioning and conformance within specific standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Abides by required safety procedures and requirements.
• Demonstrates effective judgement and problem solving related to technical work, Customer equipment and company assets.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical instrument repair as a Repair Technician level I. 
  • Must be able to meet flexible schedules with early/late hours and occasional overnight/out of state travel, based on Customer and business needs.
    •    Must be able to pass a DOT medical/ physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations. 
    •    Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL not required) and maintain required vaccines.
    •    Ability to drive DOT regulated vehicle and conduct basic box truck safety checks.
    •    Must be at least 21 years old to meet the FMCSA age requirement for commercial interstate driving.
    •    Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150 pounds at times.  
    •    Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
