The Role

Would you enjoy working with global experts supporting the pharmaceutical industry? Join our team to support both product management and technical services in editing and producing technical, scientific literature, publications and training materials for our Customers and for internal use. The Technical Editor will work closely with the technical service, marketing, R&D, regulatory and other subject matter experts to edit, format and manage literature ensuring compliance with approved practices and corporate policies and guidelines.

This position is located in St. Louis, MO with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule working remote 1-2 days per week.

What You Will Do

•    Manage the literature review process within the Technical Services team.
•    Provide first level editorial review for industry publications, posters and existing and new literature projects.
•    Develop material for the technical library working with Marketing, Technical Support, Marcomm and outside vendors on an ongoing basis

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar background. 
  • Minimum 3 years experience with technical editing and writing preferably in a scientific or regulated industry e.g. Pharmaceutical, Medical device
  • Strong written communication skills as evidenced by prior publications or publishing positions
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Skilled at conducting research (data mining) from various databases, search engines and websites
  • Comfort with technical terms relating to regulatory functions and chemicals
  • Strong research skills and familiarity with the regulations of the Life Sciences industry and prior position in Life Sciences is desirable
  • Excellent writing skills and strong experience using Microsoft Suite programs, (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and Adobe InDesign to produce high quality documents
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing in multiple styles and for diverse audiences
  • Ability to handle short-term deliverable timeframes and manage longer term project milestones
  • Coursework in scientific or technical field e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering is desired
