Job Title:  Associate Scientist I

Position Summary

We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our team based in Pomezia (Rome). The Associate Scientist is responsible for supporting and assisting in conducting research and working in the practical development of products for unique applications.  This position is lab-based, responsible for assisting in the design and execution of experiments, analysing and interpreting the data, and reporting on the results.

Duties

1. Carries out assigned projects, laboratory work, and data analysis under the direction of a supervisor
2. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment
3. Works under supervision with direct instructions
4. Carries out routine and semi-routine tasks independently
5. Understands and complies with accepted laboratory and safety procedures
6. Demonstrates excellent laboratory technique
7. Assists in writing test plans and reports

Education Degree

Required Experience

1-2 years of related laboratory experience

Competencies

1. Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment.
2. Maintains a level of technical knowledge consistent with current scientific literature and best practices.
3. Assure efficient laboratory operation through acquisition and inventory control of consumables lab supplies.  
4. Complies with established protocols and within regulatory and laboratory requirements.
5. Understands and complies with accepted laboratory and safety procedures.
6. Demonstrates good writing skills for: SOPs and their revisions, Test plans/protocols, Laboratory reports, OOS reports.
7. Maintains a laboratory notebook and documents laboratory data accurately and timely
8. Demonstrates oral communication skills​​​​​​​
