Job Title:  US Military Service & Sales Engineer

The Difference You Will Make

As an US Military Services & Sales Engineer, you will organize, promote, sell and conduct Preventive Maintenance contracts with all US Military installations in Asia Pacific to achieve assigned service goals for our Customers. You will provide installation, start up, commissioning and hand over support such as maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification for specialized products and projects, train local users and dealers on these products. Also, you support Regional Office and Dealers by on site problem solving of complicated & complex service and operational problems.

What You Will Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS and related product lines.  This includes:  disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.
• Coordinate, Oversee and Assist dealer’s service & maintenance of STERIS equipment and maintenance program.
• Improving US Military & Dealers Support through implementing improving standards in PMA performance, service calls, warranty calls, field upgrade programs, etc.  Support dealers and customers installations as and when required.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure effective planning and the required documentation.  This includes, but is not limited to:  plan daily and weekly schedule to achieve optimum utilization. 
• Maintain and build a very good working relationship with Regional Office Service Team, Country Manager and Office Administration. Advice on the activities and changes related to sales opportunities in the territory.
• Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales and dealer organization. Communicate activities to dealers/customers related to scheduling and estimated time of arrival for unscheduled work.  Utilize provided product and industry knowledge to assure customer’s expectations of service are exceeded.  Actively seek continuing education opportunities to reinforce and support STERIS overall Sales & Service strategies
• Supporting dealers in response to customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance.  Provide on-site support to dealers, limited to identifying opportunities, sizing, and utility requirements when necessary.  
• Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all Health & Safety protocols. 
• Assist and Conduct US Military & Dealer Service Training and End User training
• Provide all direct & onsite support to US Military Bases in Japan and rest of Asia as well as through email & telephone.
• Manage all Service with STERIS dealers for the region of Guam and Micronesia. 
• 50% travel within Japan US military bases is required to perform the job functions listed above. 20% travel to other US military bases in Asia Pacific.
   

Your Expertise

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical School and Associate Degree or higher preferred or equivalent experience
• Working experience in hospital and medical equipment servicing and maintenance
• Extensive travel of up to 70%
