Position Summary

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you’ll be a subject matter expert and have a key role on our Global Total Rewards Team to help reshape and rebrand our employee proposition. You’ll consult with HR and other senior leaders of assigned businesses within the organization to align on compensation strategies. Utilizing our Global market pricing tool, you'll make informed decisions on salary, bonus, and equity. This role is Hybrid, and will sit in our Mentor offices 2 days a week. 

Duties

1.        Partners with assigned HR Leaders and managers to deliver compensation services to the global STERIS business enterprise, ensuring alignment with compensation philosophy, policy, and practices. 
2.        Leads compensation projects including global survey submissions, and compensation studies (e.g. pay equity, job architecture, structure development and implementation, integrations, re-organizations, annual compensation budget development, programmatic changes). Model costs and employee impact analysis and drive implementation of approved changes.
3.        Evaluates positions for grade placement based on the content of the job and various salary survey sources ensuring that all relevant factors have been addressed such as geographic differences, and age of data.  Compile, analyse and interpret data to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness and makes recommendations.
4.        Serves as internal compensation subject matter expert and educates and informs the organization about STERIS compensation policies and practices and makes recommendations based on internal and external sources/best practice.  
5.        Executes annual compensation planning process (merit, bonus & LTI), including data audit initiatives, communications, reporting to Senior Management, and ensuring appropriate global payments are actioned.
6.        Assists with special research and keeps current on regulatory changes as needed and makes recommendations.
7.        All other duties as assigned.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance

Required Experience

1.      5 years' in depth knowledge of compensation theories and practical applications 

Preferred Experience

1.    CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation
2.    Global compensation experience
3.    Sales incentive compensation experience
4.    Experience creating Job Architecture 
5.    SAP experience (Compensation Module)

Skills

1.    Advanced spreadsheet and database capabilities 
2.    Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
3.    Excellent oral and written communications skills
4.    Ability to manage ambiguity, inform and influence while working well with others in a collaborative team environment
