Duties

•    Design and implement required security controls/methods for embedded software applications, services and systems in the IPT department
•    Develop and track software bill of materials (SBOM), track vulnerabilities in SBOM and work with product teams to remediate vulnerabilities
•    Own/conduct product security risk assessments with different stakeholders through the product development and post market lifecycle
•    Execute product security testing including test planning, test cases, and procedure development with required tools
•    Perform/setup regular vulnerability assessment and software scanning (Static/Dynamic)
•    Identify Cybersecurity vulnerabilities and collaborate for remediation and planning
•    Contribute to technical feasibility studies, proof of concepts, and technology evaluations as needed for new product security capabilities
•    Participate in improvement projects related to Cybersecurity technology and tools, and practices
•    Respond to Cybersecurity Questionnaires from STERIS Customers
•    Perform other related and evolving job-related duties as assigned.

 

This position is a Hybrid role for Mentor OH Headquarter.


 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Security, Cybersecurity, Risk Management
  • 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, systems conducting Cybersecurity Risk Assessments, and verifying remediation through the Product Development Lifecycle including experience with Security Testing tools
  • Basic knowledge in cybersecurity, software engineering, product development
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system and OS configurations

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and threat intelligence services is a plus.
  • Embedded systems experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience using Threat Modeling tools and Penetration Testing
  • CISSP or Security+ Certification
  • Knowledge in programming languages like C++/C/C#
