Job Title:  2nd Shift Precision Assembler ($1,500 Hiring Bonus!)

Position Summary

STERIS is looking for a 2nd Shift Precision Assembler to join our Endoscopy team! The General Assembler is responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment. Performs assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.  

Hours: Monday - Friday from 2:30pm - 10:30pm OR Monday - Thursday from 3:30pm - 1:30am

Duties

• Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses
• Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
• Promote and support a safe working environment
• Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates

• Standing/Walking expectation up to 70% - 100% daily

Education Degree

Preferred Experience

•  Previous assembly experience with small parts preferred.

• Reasoning Ability - Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations. Ability to identify, communicate, and trouble shoot problems.
