SUMMARY

Supervises assigned employees to master planning and shop floor control integrity.  Resolve shortages and release shop orders to manufacturing within current cycle time.  Improves current production and inventory control systems and techniques in order to improve productivity.  Responsible for all shop floor control routines, bar coding routines to maintain floor stocking levels and over due quantities at all factory administrative work centers.  Responsible to define priorities, expedites, and overtime as needed.

DUTIES

  1. Evaluates and executes decisions to increase, decrease and release shop orders after reviewing master planning requirements and shop floor control.   Priority changes for capital equipment should come from Central Planning.  Responsible to communicate priorities to the plant.
  2. Interfaces with Purchasing and vendors when appropriate to expedite parts in order to maintain shop order start dates to manufacturing.  Interfaces with Central Planning to provide status on orders, expedites and shipments.
  3. Coordinates, directs and initiates projects to improve efficiency, accuracy and system integrity.
  4. Supervises and directs all administrative functions pertaining to assigned department.
  5. Liaison between manufacturing and information systems.   Liaison between shipping and Central Planning.  Service priority orders should be requested internally to production control, in order to define priorities in production.
  6. Maintains the accuracy and integrity of Shop Floor Control and assigned material planning administration centers.
  7. Evaluates safety stock requirements.
  8. Support all Company Quality Policies including ISO 9001, EN46001, MDD, FDA, Safety Regulations  and ASME codes
  9. Recognize departmental training needs, budgets and conduct training classes as required.
  10. Process employees’ performance reviews and salary adjustments in a timely manner.
  11. Ensures operation and practices conform to safety regulations; JHA, PPE, Working Instruction Training Program.
  12. Must be knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices relating to the areas of responsibilities.
  13. Must possess the skills to manage the activities of employees of various skill levels and provide leadership for Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Requirements.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) to four (4) years related production control experience.

2.   Demonstrated knowledge of material planning, shop floor control, and other production control systems.

3.   One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience.

4.   Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility.
