Position Summary

The Stock Room & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the people and all activities related to inventory control and the disbursement/ storage of inventory.  You will be responsible to ensure a superior level of service while meeting budgetary and corporate goals. The supervisor provides technical support and direction for the Oracle inventory control processes to the inventory coordinators.

What You Will Do

•    Direct team member’s daily activities and realigns responsibilities as required to support all needs.
•    Provides the professional training and development of Inventory Coordinators, including appropriate Oracle proficiency, understanding of inventory processes, detailed knowledge of product line and supporting inventory operations.
•    Monitors Equipment tracker for potential parts problems to ensure the lab receives the required parts in the timeliest manner.
•    Point of contact for all Lab Managers to resolve problems and prioritize requirements.
•    Point of contact for all Purchasing to resolve problems and prioritize requirements.
•    Maintain organization and cleanliness of the stock room.
•    Maintain correct quantity of supply requirements for the stockroom and prepare reorder request.
•    Coordinates physical inventory counts of component parts used in the repair process and reports results to management.
•    Coordinates daily cycle counts of component parts used in the repair process and prepares documentation for management approval.
•    Oversees the accuracy of receiving through the verification and matching of purchase orders, packing slips and product.
•    Ensures the proper handling, packaging and storage of products in the stock room.
•    Proactively manages inventory levels, frequently communicating with purchasing personnel to ensure min/max levels are met for qualifying items.
•    Ensure the proper distribution to outside labs to fulfill stocking levels.

What Will Help You Be Successful

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of (2) to (3) years experience in inventory control required.
  • Inventory Software experience preferably Oracle.
  • Previous experience supervising people
  • High computer competency especially Microsoft excel and inventory software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and potential stressful situations.
