Position Summary

As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into visually appealing and easy-to-understand actionable dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Tableau, and data visualization techniques.  
By giving life to raw data, you’ll develop compelling reports and visualizations using varied analytics and visualization tools.  The impact of these reports, dashboards, and insight will be used by both internal and external Customers to make data driven decisions.
 

Duties

  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and objectives; translate and refine requests into actionable objectives 
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize key metrics and trends
  • Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources
  • Utilize and implement data visualization best practices to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
     

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Required Experience

  • 5-10 years of data analysis experience & process improvement (developing /designing technology-based solutions)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Advanced Tableau/Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint experience is required, Snowflake experience is preferred. 
  • Strong SQL & Query writing skills is preferred
  • Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst credentials or equivalent preferred
  • Requires strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving skills
  • Experience in developing business process metrics
  • Experience in defining data warehouse requirements
  • Project management skills preferred 
  • Ability to be a self-starter; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Customer service orientation is mandatory, Ability to interact with all levels of management

 Pay range for this opportunity is $67,750 - $94,762.50.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
