Position Summary

The CNC Machinist II completes set up and operates both manual and CNC equipment for the efficient production of quality components.  Responsible for the production of high-tolerance precision parts.  Ability to run and troubleshoot multiple machines.  Responsible for set up, run, debur, inspect, and deliver parts and tools that meet engineering and Customer requirements. This is a night shift position; 6:00pm - 6:30am.

Duties

  • Interpret technical prints.
  • Must have knowledge of CNC machine G&M Code and troubleshooting skills to identify and communicate program improvements to programmers.
  • Setup, operate and adjust machining equipment for production efficiency without supervision.
  • Monitors quality of parts produced to ensure customer requirements are met and follows procedure for handling nonconforming parts.
  • Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Must use personal protective equipment if required.
  • Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives and supports company ISO requirements.
  • Aware of and actively participates in company’s Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.
  • Maintains in-process product identification.

Education Degree

  • Vocational/Technical

Required Experience

  • Vocational/Technical degree/certification in CNC Machining plus 1+ year experience or 4+ years of CNC Machine operation CNC machine operation
  • CNC set up
  • Data entry system experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience running multiple types of machines
